Yewfield, Hawkshead Hill, Hawkshead, Ambleside, Cumbria LA22 0PR
Yewfield Concert
Paul Janes  –  Piano,  Sarah Brandwood Spencer  –  Violin, and   Simon Turner  –  Cello
Three long-standing Yewfield musicians have come together to form this trio. Paul Janes has performed in solo and chamber music recitals, and has been a soloist with many of Britain’s best-known orchestras.  Sarah Brandwood Spencer was principal violinist with the Hallé orchestra for seven years and has toured the world as principal and soloist with the European Union Chamber Orchestra.  Simon Turner has combined his work as guest principal with several orchestras with chamber and solo performances around the northwest.  This partnership as a piano trio should provide an exceptional concert.
Franz Schubert:   Piano Trio in B flat
Sergei Rachmaninov:   Three songs, arranged for cello and piano
Maurice Ravel:   Piano Trio

This concert is open to all with a collection on the door.
There is also a pre-concert supper available at 6.00 p.m. costing £30.00 which includes a donation towards the recital. To book supper, please contact Yewfield preferably no later than the day before the concert.
Yewfield Concerts are held in a country manor house. This provides an exceptional venue, with clear and vivid acoustics in a beautiful room.
Yewfield is about a mile along a lane leading northwards at the top of the hill on the B5285 between Coniston and Hawkshead.
There is parking at the house. Tel. 015394 36765.  Website:
