The Da Vinci Trio (piano, violin & cello) is well known for relaxed, witty and informative introductions as well as for expressive playing, which will be shown to great effect in this varied programme. Anthony Moffat, violin, has led many internationally acclaimed orchestras including the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, BBC Scottish, and Hallé Orchestras. Cellist Rudi de Groote is Principal Cello with the BBC SSO, and has played as guest principal cello in the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of Opera North and the John Wilson Orchestra. Estonian pianist Liivi Arder studied at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre before completing an Advanced Accompaniment Course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2010. She was a recipient of the Sam Hutchings Fellowship award.
