For the opening concert of our 2020-21 season Keswick Concerts are delighted to be able to present Eric Lu, at the start of his UK autumn tour. Eric is the brilliant Chinese-America pianist who won the First Prize in the prestigious Leeds International Piano Competition in 2018. He is already being compared with outstanding pianists of earlier generations, having been exciting audiences around the world with his magical playing, including a Proms debut in 2019. Still only 22 he has recently been announced as one of BBC Radio 3’s New Generation Artists, and his 2020 UK tour will include concerts at Wigmore Hall and QEH among other venues.

Eric will be performing works by Schubert (including piano sonata D959), Prokofiev (piano sonata No.7), and Chopin. Don’t miss this opening concert of the season if you want to hear one of the very best young talents – someone who is sure to be thrilling international audiences for years to come.
